Squeaky Clean

Tubby time pictures never get old to me. Bryce ate a late breakfast while Brennan was at school on Monday. He made quite a mess with his syrup, so I decided to give him a bath afterwards. He's just started saying "cheese" for the camera!

Bath and Jammies

I have lots of pictures to share from our trip to Florida and some I took today at a local arboretum, but couldn't help but share these from tonight first.

Tonight Brennan begged to take a bath with Bryce. I was nervous that Bryce would be handful because he's so wild in his duck tub, but it worked out perfectly. I put Brennan in first and got him all washed, then popped Bryce in and washed him. He was much calmer in the big tub than in his duck tubby and just sat so nicely the whole time. Brennan had fun dumping water onto Bryce's back. Then I got Bryce out and got him dressed while Brennan finished playing in the tub a little bit (with Dad's supervision). This might be our new bath time routine. After both boys were out I dressed them in their new matching jammies we bought in Florida.

I love how both boys are using their cups so strategically with no posing from us!

Tubby Time!

It's been awhile since I've shared any bath pictures of Bryce. I just love babies in the bathtub and thankfully Bryce loves bath time just like Brennan always has. He's in the duck tubby now and loving it. He can sit up well in the tub, but also likes to lay down and kick his feet like crazy. Today he even rolled onto his belly and laid like that for a little bit. I'm glad I grabbed the camera this morning to capture these!

I took this one this morning too of him sitting up and playing with his workbench. He's getting better each day at sitting up for longer and longer periods of time.

Tubby Time

Just a quick post to share a few pictures of Bryce's first submerged bath.

This one might be one of my new favorite pictures of him. I love how he looked right at the camera.

This one is terribly blurry, but I love that big brother is helping. Brennan loves standing on the kitchen chair and helping me in the kitchen, so he was excited to lend a hand.

And here are two pics from Brennan's first bath. You can really see the difference in their hair color I think.

Bryce's First Bath

Tuesday morning while Brennan was at school, Kyle and I gave Bryce his first at home sponge bath. Just like with Brennan's first one, Mommy did the bathing and Daddy took the pictures. Bryce liked it at first, but once I moved the washcloth off his tummy, he wasn't happy anymore. Then he started peeing and I didn't think he was ever going to stop. He was all calm and content again once I wrapped him up in the towel. Kyle was taking a few more pictures of him and Bryce pooped all over the towel. Thankful it wasn't on me! So then he basically got his second bath. :)

Bathtub Paint

I have wanted to try bathtub paint with Brennan for such a long time. I pinned the "recipe" for it forever ago and just have never gotten around to doing it. Plus the little fact that the recipe calls for corn starch and for the life of me I didn't think I'd ever find corn starch in the grocery. Then today I'm there with Brennan and it just pops out at me as plain as can be.

The recipe called for 1 tbsp corn starch, 4-6 pumps of baby shampoo, 2-3 drops food coloring, and 1-2 tsp of water. I didn't get too fancy this time and just made blue, yellow, red, and green since those are the food colorings I had on hand. I played around with the consistency a little bit and it turned out the first one I made was definitely the best. The others were a little too runny. Brennan had fun painting, but didn't want to do it for too long. He liked dumping the paints into the tub better. You can see the color of the water below. I'm not sure this was our cleanest tubby ever. And I do need to go scrub down the tub really well now because it definitely left a ring since he dumped all the paints into the water. I think we will definitely do it again soon!

The pictures don't really show much. I didn't even get a shot of the blue on the wall, which was the best one. Oh well!

After our bath, we went into B's room and found Ringo laying in his bed. Well this week it's my bed since my in-laws are here. Silly dog!

Tubby Time

Kyle is working late tonight, so it's just been me and B all day. We had a great day. We didn't even leave the house and he probably watched too much TV, but he's been in a super good mood and took a really good nap, which helps make these single-mom days much easier! Tonight at bath time, I decided I'd take some pictures since I haven't done tubby pics super recently. Enjoy!

Squeaky Clean

I love Brennan's bath time. Probably because he loves it so much. He will happily spend 25 minutes in the tub just playing away before bedtime. Obviously he still needs supervision in the bathtub, but he doesn't require much interaction anymore. He just likes to play with all his toys in there. Tonight his green bucket was his toy of choice.
