Last night we went to church for the Christmas Eve service. Brennan looked so handsome!

Being at church kept Brennan up past his normal bedtime, but thankfully he slept in until 8:30 this morning! Normally we have to be at church at 8:30, but since there was no Sunday school we all got to get some extra sleep. Kyle and I had put together all of Brennan's presents yesterday during nap, so once we got up this morning, we pulled them out of the guest room and brought them into the living room. I pulled up Skype on the computer, so my family was able to see his reaction to all his gifts. He was definitely excited!

He had already opened gifts from some family members, but today this is what he got:

Needless to say he was a little sad when we had to tear him away from his gifts to go to church. I did snap these pictures as I was getting him dressed this morning. Hehe. 

We are missing our family back home in Kentucky (and the ones vacationing in the Smoky Mountains!), but have had a very good day celebrating here in CT. We found a restaurant open for dinner, so we are meeting up with friends tonight to continue our Christmas celebration! Hope your Christmas has been wonderful as well!

December Photo Project - Dec. 22

We had a super fun, super busy day today. It started with Brennan sleeping til 8, which was wonderful. And to make it even better, Dada got up with him so Momma could rest in bed for a little longer! Once everyone was up and ready we headed out to Toys R Us! Brennan received some gift cards to the store from his GaGa. He racked up getting a big stuffed giraffe, a travel Magna Doodle, a light saber M&Ms candy holder, and stuffed Mickey Mouse to get him ready for our upcoming trip to Disney!

After Toys R Us, we went to meet another family at Panera for lunch! It's one of B's favorite spots because he loves their mac and cheese. We didn't eat lunch until 12, which is B's usual nap time, but he did awesome. We came home and he napped from 1 until a little after 4. I guess we wore him out! Momma even got to go running while he was napping.

After his nap, we played for a just a few minutes before going out to dinner. Going out to eat for both lunch and dinner is a VERY rare occasion, but hey, it's almost Christmas! We met some friends at Olive Garden and used a gift card (also from GaGa). B didn't eat much, but had fun playing with my phone and his new travel Magna Doodle.

Back at home, we played for a little bit and then took a bath. Now B is in bed. All in all it was a super day!

The little guy still has a cold. He was being sort of whiny this morning and then walked into the bathroom and started trying to get into the bathtub. If taking a bath in the middle of the day is what my sick baby wants, then that's what he'll get. We had fun playing in the bubbles and using his new bath crayons!

Here's B identifying his shapes. We used the same method we did when he identified his numbers. We are still working on hexagon vs. octagon, but he's doing really well with them!
