Ducks, Basketball, and Grocery Store

I'll be back sooner with a super fun post all about pee and poop! Today was day 2 of the 3-day potty training I've been doing with Bryce. He's doing very well. But for now I wanted to share some cute pictures.

We went to Mystic Village on Saturday morning. Brennan wanted to go see the ducks. I was surprised since he was scared of the ducks the last few times we went there and took food. Kyle was sneaky and brought food this time too, but Brennan did much better. He was happy as long as the ducks were in the water, but wanted to sit in the stroller once they came up onto the patio.

After lunch at Mystic Pizza, we came home and got ready to watch the UK/UofL game. Bryce was supposed to be napping, but I guess he was too excited to sleep. I think this picture of him watching while sitting in Kyle's lap is cute. And woohoo for UK still being undefeated!

I wanted to share this picture too showing that Bryce is also enjoying our grocery store set up. Here he's shopping at the farmer's market.

Christmas Pictures

We had a pretty relaxing Christmas. Brennan woke up right at his normal time of 7, but Bryce slept in a bit. Both boys have colds, so we let Bryce sleep and allowed B to open his presents first. We stayed in our pjs all day which was wonderful!

When he was all done opening his presents under the tree, I told him there was one more surprise for him downstairs. Kyle and I went down first so we could see his reaction. He saw his cash register before he was all the way down the steps and ran right to it. Then he noticed the entire grocery store set up.

Then Bryce woke up and he did great opening his presents. This first picture is when he ran out of him room when I told him to go find Daddy.

Then it was time for more grocery store fun.

The kinetic sand was a big hit too.

But it was for sure the cash register and grocery store that stole the show.

Bryce slept in again this morning giving Brennan and me time to play Ants in the Pants and, you guessed it, grocery store.

And we are all excited to use our big family present; a piano. Brennan will be starting lessons next month!

Future Cubbie

Brennan looks forward to AWANA every Sunday night. Most nights Bryce comes too and we hang out in the nursery. In the past Brennan has always wanted to be held during the AWANA opening that takes place in the gym. This past Sunday, however, he wanted down and stood right on the blue line with the Cubbies the whole time. He stood there for the pledges, the AWANA verse, the song, the prayer, and the weekly awards. I have never seen him stay so still. It was really cute!

I Know, I Know...

It's been forever....again....I just cannot seem to find the time to consistently keep up with the good ol blog these days.

Let me try to play catch up just a little.

Brennan had been playing downstairs and called me down to see what he wrote; it's his teacher's name: Ms. M. This picture was taken on Oct. 18th - the day after the last time I blogged.

Before the weather turned super cold, Brennan and I would play outside almost every day during Bryce's nap.

I've been working a little kitchen gallery wall. Not sure if it's complete, but I do like it so far. Now to get it hung up.

This was the one decent picture I got from Halloween this year. I love my little Spiderman and Captain America. Not sure why Bryce looks like a midget in this picture.

Brennan wrote all his letters on the iPad!

Brennan had another great dental checkup and decided he now wants to be a dentist when he grows up. At the next appointment in 6 months I'll have to take both boys for appointments. Lord help me.

I love this picture from church. Brennan was sitting with the cherub choir waiting to sing on stage and the youth pastor started praying and Brennan did this. And I took the picture. He's much holier than me.

We will often play on the school playground with Brennan's classmates after school. Bryce loves to take these rolling backpacks from the twin brother and sister in B's class and walk all around with them.

Daddy came home after 6 weeks out to sea and we needed to go to Chickfila to celebrate. Those are two happy boys with giant milkshakes on the drive home.

We had another unseasonably warm day and Brennan and I were back outside playing again.

The boys received a super fun gift from Auntie Lala; personalized M&Ms!

This one is trouble. He does this multiple times/day.

We had a fun Saturday trip up the Providence Children's Museum!

Just yesterday I visited some friends of mine at a bazaar and there was a Touch a Truck event set up out back. Brennan sat in every truck!
