Happy Thanksgiving!

We had such a nice Thanksgiving! The boys let us sleep in a little (til 7:40) and then we relaxed around the house in the morning. Once Bryce took a nap, I had promised Brennan we'd put up the Christmas tree, so he helped me with that. I baked some cookies and an apple spice cobbler and we got ready to head out to our Thanksgiving meal. Once Bryce woke up, we first headed to drop the cookies off at Kyle's submarine for the guys who had to work on Thanksgiving then went to spend Thanksgiving with lots of families from our church.

Being so far from home is hard sometimes, but we are super blessed with an amazing church family. The Wallis' welcomed tons of us into their new home today. It was great. There were kids to help entertain Brennan and lots of arms willing to hold Bryce. We had a great meal and dessert and then went to visit some other friends before heading home.

Once we were back home, there were some presents waiting under the tree for the boys. They each got two new pairs of jambes to wear during the Christmas season (and beyond) and we opened up our Elf on the Shelf book and Little People's Nativity. It was our way of kicking off the Christmas season at our house.

Bryce only had about fire minutes to see the Christmas tree before we headed out the door, but he was mesmerized. It was priceless.
